Dr Maritza Farrant

MBChB, MPH, FRACP

Maritza is a general and reproductive endocrinologist at Te Toka Tumai, Te Whatu Ora. After completion of advanced training, Maritza worked at the University of Washington (UW) in the area of male reproductive endocrinology and coauthored publications in hormonal male contraception. She has a Master of Public Health from UW and also worked in a public health capacity in the US during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since returning to NZ, Maritza has developed a special interest in Women’s Health and endocrinology and is a Senior Lecturer at Waipapa Taumata Rau, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine. She is also developing a research interest in menopause care.
